On the eve of the national championships, Cricket Canada regrets to announce that the various parties in Ontario were not able to come to an understanding with respect to fielding a team in the national championships.
In a letter today, to all involved parties President Saini expressed his disappointment saying :
"It is unfortunate that despite significant time having been provided, leading up to today , the various parties in the conflict were unable to come to a solution within Ontario to resolve their governance matters. As a result of this situation, we have no other option but to proceed with the team that has been selected by the national selector. Cricket Canada is satisfied that adequate process that provided opportunity to all was given and the selection was done in a public and transparent manner."
