Canada vs. Afghanistan Warm Up
|
Canada warmed up for the upcoming T20 Quad series with a D/L loss to Afghanistan on Sunday. Chasing 182, Canada's chase was halted by rain at 96/2 in 12 overs. Rizwan Cheema highlighted Canada's chase with 39 off 25 balls including two towering sixes that left the stadium.
Canada hits the ground running on Monday morning (sunday night in Canada) against Sri Lanka 'A' in the first match of the T20 Four Nations tournament.

T20 Packages Close to Selling Out

There are limited ticket packages still available for the T20 4 Nations Series starting in Sri Lanka on Sunday Night. For the first time ever Canadian Cricket fans will be able to watch the play live online on PPV.
Mohammed Shaikh, president of the countries largest league, the T&DCA, was excited about the upcoming games and was pleased that the local clubs were the leaders in purchasing packages.
Speaking from Toronto today Shaikh said "...we are players and administrators but above all we love the game and we love our country. I'm thrilled the members have stepped up to help support our boys and on Sunday when they take the field they will know that we are not only 100% behind them, we will be watching as well..."

Canada Cricket is pleased to announce the inaugural live webcast of a Canadian international series on Cricket Canada TV.
Viewers are invited to experience Canada's upcoming matches in the Four Nations T20 Continental Cup with Sri Lanka A, Ireland, and Afghanistan streamed live from Colombo's NCC, SSC, and P. Sara Stadiums.
These T20 fixtures are an integral part of Canada's preparation for February's ICC World T20 Qualification.
