Canadian National Selectors Announce Provincial Cricket Squads

With the focus of preparation for the intense work load in 2008 summer, Canadian national selectors announces their provincial cricket squad of 79 players from 4 provinces as follows: Ontario comprises the majority of 32 players, Quebec and British Colombia includes 16 players each and the Prairies consists of 15 players. Selected players from each province are subjected to undergo rigorous training with their provincial coaches through out the winter.

Cricket Canada has decided to maintain these provincial squads throughout the year with the objective of providing organized and proper skills to each individual player. National selectors will their final squad from these 78 players based on their performances in 2008 summer qualifiers.
